30 Years of X-ray QA Innovation

RTI Electronics will be celebrating 30 years in theX-ray QA field at RSNA 2011. This milestone is marked with an array of products and services that continue to demonstrate RTI Electronics’ reputation for technological innovation and unique capabilities, along with superior accuracy and reliability.

Warranties and Calibrations

RTI is known for its “industry best” 2-year factory warranty and 2-year calibration cycle, providing its customers a unique level of assurance in its X-ray kVp, dose and multi-meters – the Barracuda, Piranha and Cobia.

CT Applications

RTI continues to enhance its flagship multi-meter Piranha with new capabilities, particularly in the vital area of CT measurement. The Piranha is now available with a Bias option, allowing for the use of ion chambers. An improved “calibration” for CT kVp, taking into account the various anode angles of CT units, will be offered for Piranha as well.

Software Solutions

Ocean is RTI’s popular Access database software X-ray QA solution (for use with the Piranha and Barracuda meters).  Ocean will see enhancements in reporting, data analysis and integration of the popular RTI CT Dose Profiler.
RTI is also introducing Ocean Central – a centralized database that will make it possible to easily collect and distribute measured X-ray QA data in Ocean. With one click, measurements or special templates can be easily shared by small or large imaging teams. The Cobia with its built-in display, compact size and accuracy is making a positive impression. Whether it’s the only meter in the shop, or a companion to the Piranha or Barracuda, the Cobia’s affordability and ease of use make it hard to ignore.
