RTI Electronics, Inc. will be moving to more spacious accommodations by the end of December.
Early in September 2011, Hurricane Irene and the flooding that engulfed much of the east coast of the US, forced RTI Electronics, Inc. to consider a new location. RTI Electronics present facilities in Fairfield, NJ took on over 14 inches of water during the storm. Following the clean-up effort, it was determined that a new location – on higher ground – would be in order.
RTI Electronics will be returning to familiar surroundings as it moves to 33 Jacksonville Road, Towaco, NJ. This was the original site of RTI Electronics Inc. in 2005-2007.
– The new location will give us over 40% more space than our present property, according to Rob Morrison, president of RTI Electronics, Inc.
– This time we have more of the building than we did last time. This provides essential space for support, calibrations, and service.
RTI Electronics, Inc. had just begun to implement a planned expansion of the calibration lab when the floods came. This expansion will now continue in the new location with more room.
– Our capabilities to service both Rad and Mammo calibrations will increase significantly. We should also be able to continue to provide quick turn-around times, according to Kamran Younis, Service Support Engineer.
It is anticipated that the move will be completed by the end of November.
Margaret Garza, RTI Office Manager, and one of the “RTI survivors” of the flood and the clean-up, when asked about the move had this to say.
– I can hardly wait.
It is safe to say that she speaks for everyone at RTI Electronics, Inc.
